At Signalong, we believe that every child who would benefit from sign-supported communication should have access to the resources they need at home, without cost being a barrier.
We know that families supporting children with additional communication needs can already face significant additional costs, from specialist resources and equipment to other forms of support. At Signalong we want to do our part to make accessing sign-supported communication as easy and affordable for parents as possible.
For many children, sign-supported communication is introduced in school or other educational settings, but maintaining consistency at home is equally as important. Having access to the right resources can help parents feel more confident in continuing to use signs as part of their child’s everyday communication.
That’s why we are pleased to announce our new initiative offering parents 12 months free premium access to the Sign Library. The Sign Library contains over 9,000 signs, including descriptions, drawings, and video demonstrations, helping you find the signs you need to support communication at home and everyday life.
This offer allows access to the Sign Library online or via our Sign Studio App, enabling you to search signs on the go using your phone.
What’s included?
The 12-month premium subscription enables parents to use 10 free sign searches a month for 12 months with access to the Signalong Sign Library and the Sign Studio App.
Who Can Apply and How?
This offer is available to parents of children who would benefit from sign-supported communication.
To help us ensure this offer reaches families who need it, we will ask for supporting evidence as part of the application. This could be:
- Relevant pages from your child’s Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) showing that they would benefit from signing or sign-supported communication; or
- Written confirmation from your child’s school, setting, or another appropriate professional confirming that your child would benefit from, or requires, signing or sign-supported communication.
You only need to provide the relevant information needed to demonstrate your child’s communication needs. Please do not send the full EHCP if the relevant pages are sufficient.
Applications will be reviewed by Signalong and where eligibility criteria is met, we will provide a free 12-month Premium Sign Library subscription. Please note, after successful review, you will be advised to purchase the Premium Subscription online for £33, this will then be refunded back to you. Please do not purchase the subscription before we have advised of your application.

Why Are We Offering This?
According to Speech and Language UK approximately 2 million children in the UK which is around 1 in 5, experience speech, language and communication difficulties. At Signalong we want to help remove financial barriers for families who need access to sign-supported communication to support their children. By providing free access to the Sign Library for 12 months, we hope to give parents a practical resource they can use whenever they need to find a sign to support their child’s communication.
Communication should be accessible to everyone, and we’re committed to doing what we can to make that possible.
