The majority of the Signalong Web site does not use cookies. The shop and members areas of the Web site use cookies to record the session that is logged in to and uses this information to ensure the privacy and security of credit card transactions. No personal information is held on the cookie only a unique identifier.
Personal Information You Provide
If you send us e-mail, SMS or fill out forms online that contain personally identifiable information, we use that information to respond to you or to process the requested transaction. Information may be redirected to another party within Signalong who may be better able to handle your inquiry. The information is stored within our secure customer database and is used to provide targeted communications relevant to your original request. You can opt out of this at any time by emailing webmaster@signalong.org.uk. Signalong does not collect other personal information or disclose that information to third parties unless required by law.
Data Protection Act and other regulations.
Signalong is subject to a variety of UK laws, including the Data Protection Act (DPA) and General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), as all our servers and offices are located within the UK. If we are requested by a third party to release information under appropriate regulations we will do so only after consideration by our lawyers. Request for release of information held about or instruction under the right to forget a person under the DPA and GDPR can be made in writing to the Signalong head office.
Security
The Signalong is concerned with the security of the data we have collected and has in place reasonable measures to prevent unauthorised access to that data. Areas within this Web site uses SSL 128-bit encryption to secure your personal information whilst in transit over the internet. The Signalong web hosting is provided by UK2.net and uses their security packages and intrusion protection system to secure the websites data within the hosting servers. The Credit Card transactions that are enabled by the Signalong Web are performed by an external party, SecPay, and no credit card information is stored within Signalong servers. The Signalong Web site, link to our payments provider and Signalong head office processes have been accredited to PCI DSS standards and is reviewed annually by an external independent party.
